Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Server Design

About the role

Join our team as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Server Design. As a key member of the Server Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for servers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that mechanical designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for servers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers
• Ensure mechanical designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements
• Contribute to the development of design standards and guidelines
• Participate in product testing and validation activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience with mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials science
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects
• Experience with server design and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of thermal management and cooling systems
• Experience with mechanical testing and analysis tools
