Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Must Have INSTRON)

Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ • Contract Term: 12+ Months • Employment Type: W2 Contract (US Citizens or Green-Card holders only)

About the Role

This associate will be responsible for technical excellence in both biological science and mechanical testing for new product design and development. The ideal candidate demonstrates design-build-test experience, the ability to develop and execute test methods, and competency in documentation and technical-report writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct test procedures for Chemistry, Biological Science, and Clinical laboratories.
• Perform mechanical test procedures on INSTRON equipment.
• Co-develop and execute studies investigating and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Prepare written technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses of assigned projects.

Requirements

• BS degree in engineering (Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• 2+ years of engineering experience, preferably in medical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.
• Experience with general mechanical testing equipment such as INSTRON (required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven learning agility.

Skills

• Experience handling biological specimens, particularly human clinical samples (desirable).
• Knowledge of blood-borne pathogen safety procedures (necessary; training will be provided).
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and willingness to perform hands-on work.

Schedule

1st Shift (8–9 AM to 4–5 PM), 40 hours per week.

Pay

$45–$50 per hour.
