Sr Mechanic Rigging
About the role
This position is responsible for advanced level repairs and service across a wide array of electrical/mechanical equipment. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Repair, inspect and maintain rental inventory of electric chain hoists, winches, and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
- Repair, inspect and maintain electric chain hoists as a service for other companies in the entertainment and tradeshow industries.
- Reconfigure chain hoists in rental inventory as required by rental demand.
- Communicate regularly with Service Manager regarding maintenance concerns, repair parts inventory, and product improvements.
- Interpret exploded views, electrical data, and wiring diagrams.
- Aid in essential duties and responsibilities as defined in job description for Equipment Inspector.
- Attend production meetings as required.
- Designate tasks to all hoist technicians on a daily basis.
- Determine daily workflow for all hoist technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
- Certificate of Completion or Degree from accredited college or trade school related to the field of electronics is preferred.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow complex written and oral directions.
- Experience with industry-standard computer applications.
- Ability to interpret technical reports to non-technical persons.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Various Industry Standard Certifications Preferred (examples include): CET, ETCP, ISF.
Skills
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of chain hoists and related equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
