About the role

The world’s largest aerospace and defense company, RTX, seeks a Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. This on-site position focuses on resolving issues with supplied materials impacting our factories.

Responsibilities

  • Lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory, collaborating with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
  • Represent supplier assurance as the onsite interface to Raytheon factories, participating in factory tier meetings, layered process assessments, and nonconforming material reviews.
  • Analyze supplied material non-conformance metrics and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
  • Investigate issues with supplied material, ensuring accuracy of defect documentation, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented.
  • Work on projects to achieve continuous improvement goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools and processes
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery
  • High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Six Sigma, Lean and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
