About the role

Join Amazon Robotics as the Sr. Manager of Operations, a leader where you'll drive the full operational strategy for a high-complexity robotics manufacturing site — from New Product Introduction through volume production. This is a high-visibility leadership role where you'll shape the future of how robots are built at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of manufacturing managers across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
  • Own site-level manufacturing strategy, workforce development, and continuous improvement for complex robotics products
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program teams to launch next-generation products from prototype to production
  • Operate within Amazon Robotics' Manufacturing, Remanufacturing, and Test Operations (RMTO) organization — a team obsessed with flawless execution and operational excellence

Key job responsibilities

Site Operations Leadership

  • Establish and execute site manufacturing goals, performance plans, and operational budgets aligned to business objectives
  • Own the rhythm of business (ROB) — lead business reporting, metric reviews, and escalation management across Safety-People-Quality-Delivery-Volume (S-P-Q-D-V)
  • Build and manage workforce staffing plans to meet dynamic customer demand

People & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of manufacturing managers; drive accountability and performance through clear expectations and regular feedback
  • Foster a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement across all levels of the workforce
  • Champion Lean workforce initiatives including cross-training, development programs, and succession planning

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Execution

  • Lead manufacturing readiness for NPI programs — including workforce scaling, training, area preparations, and production workflows
  • Provide critical input into Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/A) during early product lifecycle phases
  • Drive factory transformation and readiness initiatives to support growth and innovation

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Deploy Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S) to achieve year-over-year improvement
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action exercises to drive quality and efficiency
  • Establish best practices and standard work; scale solutions across sites

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work effectively across Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to remove barriers and deliver results
  • Influence without authority — earn trust and drive alignment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

A day in the life

As the Sr. Manufacturing Manager, you start each day reviewing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics to align production priorities. You lead daily stand-ups with your team of manufacturing managers, addressing workforce readiness, production bottlenecks, and continuous improvement actions. Throughout the day, you collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive execution on both General Availability (GA) and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. You coach and develop frontline leaders, champion Lean initiatives, and navigate ambiguity inherent in scaling complex robotics products. Your internal customers are the broader RMTO organization and ultimately the end customers receiving Amazon Robotics solutions.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
  • Maternity and Parental Leave Options
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 401(k) Plan
