Sr. Manager, System Validation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced System Development Lead to drive end-to-end validation and verification efforts for advanced robotics and mobile manipulation systems. This role requires deep expertise in hardware and software, with the ability to build and scale comprehensive test labs and strategies for complex electromechanical systems operating in dynamic industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary hardware engineering team developing verification and validation plans for HW.
• Define and drive the overall system verification and validation strategy aligned with product development roadmaps.
• Partner with HW design/mechanical/electrical/manufacturing teams to deliver safe, reliable, and scalable robotic solutions.
• Plan ahead to avoid hardware and software defects and drive any problems to zero.
• Thrive in an entrepreneurial and ambiguous environment, making high-judgment decisions with incomplete information.

Requirements

• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation delivered through the software development lifecycle in an API-enabled environment, including agile development, software architecture/patterns, and modern cloud services.
• A solid understanding of the Linux operating system.
• Experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure products that support Tier-1 mission critical services with a focus on privacy, security, availability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing managers experience.
• 10+ years of direct work with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) experience.
• Experience directly working with cloud hosting technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience in managing managers.
• Experience with AWS platforms, services, and design patterns.

Skills

• Deep expertise in hardware and software.
• Ability to build and scale comprehensive test labs and strategies for complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure products that support Tier-1 mission critical services.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).

Schedule
