Sr Manager Software Engineering

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Manager Software Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will own the engineering vision and technical execution for a strategic fuel and expense management initiative within a fast-moving digital environment. The role will partner closely with product and commercial stakeholders to shape priorities, strengthen delivery discipline, and ensure scalable solutions that meet customer and business needs. You will guide mobile and backend engineering efforts while improving productivity, accelerating time-to-market, and fostering a culture of innovation across the team. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $175,600 – $204,300 annually Responsibilities Develop and execute a long-term engineering vision for a strategic fuel and expense management initiative Collaborate with product and commercial partners to prioritize customer requirements Maintain a clear engineering roadmap and establish interdependent OKRs Lead technical ownership of systems design for mobile applications and backend microservices Drive end-to-end technical project execution from concept to deployment Implement mechanisms to reduce time-to-market and enhance development productivity Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management Expertise in developing large-scale distributed systems with a focus on accuracy and performance Ability to automate code generation and testing using generative AI Experience with AI-DLC products and API-first development Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments Excellent leadership and communication skills Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan Paid time off Health savings and flexible spending accounts Life and disability insurance Tuition reimbursement Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
