Key job responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and scientists building LLM-based tools, ML-powered capabilities, and deterministic integrations that agents invoke at runtime
• Arcitect secure integration patterns including authentication, authorization, and credential management for agent-to-service communication
• Design and scale a protocol layer (APIs, MCPs) that enables agents to discover, invoke, and compose tools reliably
• Deliver Tier-1 systems that support Amazon's global footprint with high availability, low latency, and graceful degradation
• Partner with applied scientists to integrate ML models into production tool pipelines
• Drive the technical roadmap from prototype to production-grade tooling that serves hundreds of thousands of agent executions

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
• Experience leading, mentoring and growing teams of scientists (teams of five or more scientists)

• Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $220,100.00 - $297,700.00 annually.
