About the role

As a Senior Manager of Revenue Optimization Enablement for Digital Sales at SurePayroll, you will own the Revenue Optimization Enablement Development team and lead a fundamental strategic shift from a team that answers questions to an AI-first team that proactively detects problems, diagnoses root causes, and recommends actions across multiple business lines. You will lead your team to invent and scale the metrics that drive adoption and sales behavior, and to build agentic, automated analytical workflows that let teams self-service. This role leads a critical part of SurePayroll's core infrastructure, not a supporting function. We are shifting from bespoke, one-off data solutions to reusable pipelines, shared analytics capabilities, and measurement frameworks that power decision-making across the business. The role combines payroll industry expertise with deep digital skills to identify valuable data, build data products, and optimize operations and revenue.

The ideal candidate is a technically exceptional BI leader who thinks big about what AI-powered data can enable, not just for today's needs but for the generative AI experiences the organization is building toward, with a relentless bias for action. You thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments where the roadmap is evolving, the problems are genuinely hard, and the stakes are high for small business owners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a data strategy that harnesses digital technologies to gather, store, and deliver data products to drive revenue and customer growth.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage a team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, continuous career development, and fostering a data-driven culture.
  • Build systems that proactively detect problems, diagnose root causes, and recommend actions across multiple business lines, including agentic, automated analytical workflows that let business teams self-service.
  • Shift the organization from bespoke, one-off requests to reusable pipelines, shared analytics capabilities, and measurement frameworks that hold up to scrutiny and power decisions across the business.
  • Own the execution of cross-organizational projects, partnering with product, sales, marketing, and finance to translate data into decisions that drive business growth, and align measurement so every team is working off a single source of truth.
  • Manage digital analytics tools and define techniques to extract meaningful insights from data, enabling evidence-based decisions.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of regulations, compliance, and industry-specific challenges to ensure data strategies align with legal requirements.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitor offerings to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the BI platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (required).
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in digital analytics and data-driven decision-making in the payroll industry.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of technical experience with databases and data warehousing concepts/tools, with proven capability to strategically problem-solve using advanced quantitative and analytical skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce and its reporting tools.
  • Strong technical aptitude (intermediate level required).
  • Excellent interpretation of complex statistical data (intermediate level required).
  • Effective leadership skills (intermediate level required).

Pay

The starting base pay range for this position is $117,000–$184,000 annually. Geographic location, skills, education, and experience may result in total compensation outside of this range.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical coverage and virtual wellness classes.
  • Tuition reimbursement and 401(k) with employer match.
  • Adoption and financial assistance programs.
  • Paid time off, company holidays, and culture days.
  • Work-life balance programs and flexible work arrangements.
