About the Role

The Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Management, oversees and trains staff, manages revenue cycle functions and processes, and ensures the team meets performance, quality, and production metrics. This role supports RCM Associate Directors with escalations and strategic projects, resolves complex claim issues, and manages Accounts Receivables in compliance with best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire claims submission and follow-up process, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Lead and manage large payer projects and care center support projects, updating leadership and stakeholders as needed.
  • Keep Associate Directors informed of opportunities for improvement in daily operations and recommend process enhancements.
  • Manage teams accountable for accounts receivable (AR), including analysis and resolution of aged AR and root cause issues.
  • Utilize data to identify patterns in claim denials or delays and develop actionable solutions.
  • Make independent decisions regarding claim adjustments, resubmissions, appeals, and other resolution techniques.
  • Update RCM policies as needed.
  • Meet with Performance Operations, Implementation, Sales, and other teams to review escalated issues and discuss payer or claim concerns.
  • Collaborate with Care Center leadership, including lead physicians and office managers, to address complex claim or revenue cycle matters.
  • Train internal teams (Operations, Sales) and care center staff as appropriate.
  • Support care center go-lives, which may require overnight travel.
  • Maintain a laser focus on achieving the department’s daily and monthly KPIs through a team-oriented approach.
  • Perform or assist with staffing duties, including hiring, termination, coaching, and training.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to staff and handle disciplinary matters with HR support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Medical Office training certificate or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing physician revenue cycle.
  • 3+ years of experience in personnel management.
  • Understanding of revenue cycle performance drivers and ability to investigate and resolve complex claims.
  • Preferred experience with CT and/or OH payers and providers.
  • Strong preference for experience with athenaOne, Trizetto, and SalesForce.
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $75,000.00–$80,000.00 in base pay, exclusive of bonuses or benefits. This role is eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on experience, education, and geographic location.

Schedule

This role may require overnight travel to support care center go-lives.

Technical Requirements (for Remote Workers)

For remote work, a minimum internet speed of 5 MBPS download and 3 MBPS upload is required. Employees working remotely may be eligible for expense reimbursement to offset internet costs.
