We’re seeking a hands-on analytics professional to lead Retention Analytics at McAfee. In this role, you will provide data-driven, actionable insights into subscriber journeys, lifecycle performance, and the effectiveness of retention marketing efforts—strengthening retention outcomes.
About the Role
- Lead the Retention Analytics team at McAfee—own insights that inform strategy and execution for Retention, strengthening outcomes.
- Drive the insights and prepare executive-ready materials for leadership reviews, clearly communicating retention trends, pacing to plan, and progress on strategic initiatives.
- Build annual and quarterly plans in partnership with key stakeholders across Engagement and Retention, Finance, and Product.
- Own retention forecasting, monitor performance vs. plan, and communicate risks and opportunities.
- Measure the impact of retention initiatives and A/B tests, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and optimize messaging based on results.
- Modernize data reporting, partnering with the Data Engineering Team to automate dashboards, and reduce manual work to focus on high-value analysis and insights.
- Analyze subscriber behavior to uncover churn risks, conversion levers, and journey pain points.
- Identify high-value segments for targeting to drive loyalty and reduce churn.
- Manage and coach a team of 2-4 analysts, setting priorities, reviewing outputs, and investing in skills development.
This is a Hybrid position located in one of our hub locations: Frisco, TX, San Jose, CA, Newport Beach, CA, or New York, NY. You will be required to be onsite a few times a month. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance of a hub location and are not offering relocation assistance.
Requirements
- 7+ years in an analytical, management consulting, finance, or similar role—including people-leadership experience.
- Analytical problem-solving: Proven ability to structure and solve exploratory problems; strong attention to detail and accuracy in analysis and reporting; effective decision-making under uncertainty.
- Business communication: Excellent verbal/written communication; ability to translate complex concepts into simple, executive-ready narratives and visuals.
- Productivity & tools: Advanced Excel and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Data & coding fluency: A self-starter who isn’t afraid to get hands dirty—comfortable using SQL, Python, and generative AI tools as needed to access data and deliver analysis, even if not a coding expert.
- Ways of working: Thrives in a fast-paced environment; collaborates across time zones; builds strong relationships and cross-functional alignment to accomplish objectives.

Pay
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $135,910.00/Yr. - USD $223,285.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
