Sr. Manager - Quality
About the role
The Sr Manager - Quality will lead and scale the Quality function in a fast-growing, make-to-order / engineer-to-order (MTO/ETO) industrial manufacturing environment. Reporting to the VP, Operations, this high-impact leadership role ensures consistent, speedy, and defect-free delivery of complex, customized products.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end Quality leadership across customers, suppliers, and operations
- Scaling a high-performing Quality organization to support rapid growth and multi-shift production
- Driving a culture of accountability, root cause ownership, and continuous improvement
- Leading customer-facing quality (escalations, SLAs, audits, performance reviews)
- Building a robust Supplier Quality program (qualification, audits, performance management)
- Strengthening execution in a manually intensive, high-mix / low-volume environment
- Ensuring a scalable QMS (ISO-based) with strong audit performance and process discipline
Requirements
- 10+ years in Quality leadership within industrial manufacturing (MTO/ETO or complex assembly preferred)
- Proven success building or scaling a Quality function in a growth environment
- Strong experience in customer quality and supplier quality management
- Expertise in RCA (8D), FMEA, auditing, and defect reduction
- Leverage Lean / Six Sigma experience (Black Belt a plus)
- Mechanical / Electrical Engineering degree or related experience
- A hands-on leader and mentor who develops teams and drives measurable outcomes

- Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving process improvements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Passion for quality and commitment to excellence

- Quality Management System (QMS) knowledge (ISO-based preferred)
- Customer and supplier quality management expertise
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques (8D, FMEA)
- Auditing and defect reduction strategies
- Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Leadership and mentoring skills
