About the Site

Catalent’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania site serves as the company’s North American Center of Excellence for clinical supply packaging, delivering comprehensive, end-to-end support for global clinical trials across multiple therapeutic modalities. The site provides integrated services including direct comparator sourcing, blinding and manufacturing, primary and secondary packaging, storage and distribution, and clinical returns management, enabling efficient and compliant trial execution. It also plays a growing role in supporting biologic as well as cell and gene therapy programs, with enhanced cold-chain and cryogenic handling capabilities designed to meet the complex requirements of advanced therapies. As a critical hub within Catalent’s global clinical supply network, the Philadelphia site helps sponsors accelerate development timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality, flexibility, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the department team and manage projects from award to completion, ensuring proper setup, planning, monitoring, and execution
  • Recruit, develop, and coach team members while driving performance and supporting client management
  • Ensure team members deliver projects on time
  • Remove operational challenges and keep projects moving forward
  • Act as point of escalation for customer inquiries
  • Support and participate in onsite audits
  • Work with managers to implement project management related strategies
  • Mentor, develop, and support team members
  • Provide financial oversight of projects
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department and site
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant practical experience
  • 5 years’ experience in a customer service or appropriate business-related area preferred
  • 2 years of experience leading employees
  • Professional Project Management Qualification preferred
  • Professional Management Qualification preferred
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience
