About the Role
The Sr. Manager Project & Program Digital Leader for North America collaborates with Global Teams to define strategies for the digital transformation of Industrial Operations Manufacturing Plants. They work with Program and Region Teams to shape regional strategy, including influencing and aligning roadmaps, budget, and timelines to drive execution of the overall digital strategy in alignment with Global Strategy. This role manages the Industrial Operations Digital Transformation Projects portfolio across a region, including ready-to-deploy projects, pilots, and proof-of-concepts. The leader is responsible for driving and influencing key stakeholders, integrating and collaborating across different areas to successfully implement new technologies and solutions while spreading digital transformation culture and delivering committed value to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global teams to develop and advance Digital Transformation strategies that align with organizational objectives and operational priorities.
- Lead the development and alignment of regional Digital Transformation strategies in partnership with program and regional stakeholders.
- Manage the regional portfolio of manufacturing Digital Transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with global strategy through effective roadmap development, prioritization, budgeting, and timeline management.
- Oversee assessments, pilot programs, proof-of-concept initiatives, and project implementations within Industrial Operations, including extended on-site engagement as required to support successful execution.
- Partner with Innovation Leaders to engage internal and external stakeholders, including innovation institutes, universities, startups, and technology providers, to address Industrial Operations challenges and opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, and cultivate strategic partnerships and emerging technology opportunities that support operational excellence and digital innovation.
- Serve as the primary liaison with corporate functions, providing technical input and support for investment analyses, business cases, contracts, reports, presentations, and project updates.
- Collaborate with program teams, site leadership, engineers, and operators to deploy scalable digital solutions and promote a culture of Digital Transformation through training, communications, workshops, and webinars.
- Support the monitoring and implementation of projects involving Industrial Control System (ICS) protocols, partnering with IT, OT, and Automation teams to deliver secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
- Apply agile methodologies and frameworks to accelerate value delivery, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and improve responsiveness to customer and stakeholder needs.
- Support Change Management execution, user adoption, and value realization efforts while co-developing sustainable change management strategies that drive long-term business outcomes and solution adoption.
- Travel frequently to support project implementation, stakeholder engagement, and operational needs across multiple locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field required.
- Experience leading or supporting innovation, research and development (R&D), and digital transformation initiatives involving robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and emerging technologies.
- Strong project management and project design capabilities, including developing business cases, preparing funding proposals, and supporting grant or investment opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 applications, including advanced Excel, Power BI, Teams, and other data visualization and collaboration tools.
- Working knowledge of programming languages and data analytics tools, such as Python, C/C++, or similar technologies.
- Ability to analyze complex business and operational challenges and translate them into scalable technology-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated curiosity, innovation mindset, and enthusiasm for exploring and implementing new technologies and solutions.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work proactively, adapt to change, and remain resilient while driving initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve project and business objectives.
