Sr Manager, Portfolio Strategy
About the Role
Join our mission to lead the future of snacking as the Senior Manager, Portfolio Strategy. This role supports the Senior Director, Strategy in driving transformational growth across our brands and is designed as a steppingstone for a future Director-level leader. You will gain deep exposure to cross-functional collaboration, innovation strategy, and consumer-centric marketing, shaping how we launch innovations and embed a mindful snacking approach across all categories.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Category leadership to define the strategy for launching innovations across brands in service of our big growth missions.
- Identify, drive, and champion bold innovation ideas across categories/brands that will drive category expansion, brand differentiation, and growth sufficiency.
- Frame business case(s) demonstrating incremental growth and value creation for our highest priority innovation.
- Assess the sufficiency of our innovation pipeline and partner with Category, Finance, MSC, R&D, and Sales teams to support breakthrough growth.
- Lead the transformation of all categories to prioritize enduring snacking trends, ensuring our portfolio aligns with evolving consumer needs.
- Partner with Insights teams to understand changing consumer behaviors and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.
- Partner with Innovation and Brand teams to drive household penetration and increase consumer awareness of new product lines.
- Work cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and regulatory teams to embed sustainability into innovation strategy.
- Develop roadmaps as needed and partner with cross-functional teams to embed future-fit capabilities to serve evolving consumer and customer needs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in category strategy, innovation, consumer marketing, or R&D strategy role within CPG or a relevant industry.
- University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Ability to shape long-term growth strategies and challenge existing paradigms.
- Experience working with product innovation teams, category management, or R&D functions.
- Deep understanding of consumer trends, wellness movements, and modern marketing approaches.
- Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across marketing, R&D, and category teams.
- Strong leadership presence with the ambition and capability to take on a Director-level role next.
- Proficient in category data analysis, consumer insights tools, and marketing strategy frameworks.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $140,300 to $192,940, depending on experience, skills, education, and location. This role is also eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
