About the role
AWS Billing organization processes millions of events per second to deliver cost, usage, and optimization insights that power the financial decisions of the world's largest enterprises. We're now transforming how customers interact with this data, moving from dashboards and reports to agentic experiences that continuously understand, control, and optimize AWS spend on their behalf.
Key responsibilities
- Set the product vision and strategy for AWS FinOps Agent across internal and external customers.
- Own the strategy for the highest-ambiguity bets; coach your PMs to own the strategy within their scope.
- Build the mechanisms your team uses to engage customers across channels and serve as the voice of the customer inside AWS.
- Establish how customer feedback flows into product decisions, and use it to make the calls on where the team invests.
- Own the full product lifecycle across your team's surface area, from strategic planning through tactical execution.
- Partner with engineering and applied science leaders to deliver against the roadmap.
- Get into the technical details on the hardest architectural and agent-design trade-offs, and grow your PMs to do the same within their areas.
- Define the goals, input metrics, and output metrics that measure success for the AI-powered FinOps experience.
- Own the product roadmap for your area, integrating inputs from customers, engineering, science, and peer product teams.
- Make the prioritization calls and defend them to senior leadership.
- Write and deliver the updates that go to VP and SVP audiences on the products, key launches, and strategic bets.
- Coach your PMs on the writing and communication skills that get their work to the same bar.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing PM team.
- Set the bar for product excellence, give direct feedback, and grow PMs into the next level.
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in people management
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Preferred qualifications
- 8+ years of successful technology products work from ideation through launch experience
- Experience in successful technology product work from ideation through launch
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment
- Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large enterprises or partners
- Experience with cloud native technologies
Pay
- USA, NY, New York: $219,100.00 - $296,500.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $199,200.00 - $269,500.00 USD annually
