About the role

The Senior Manager of Platform Engineering will lead a team of 6–8 engineers responsible for core platform services, infrastructure, developer experience, data platform, and the agent platform that enables AI agents to be deployed in the product.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing platform engineering team.
  • Define and execute the platform engineering roadmap across core platform services, infrastructure, developer experience, data platform, agent platform, and agentic development adoption.
  • Build the agent platform capabilities that enable product teams to create, test, deploy, monitor, and operate AI agents in the product.
  • Lead adoption of agentic development practices across engineering, including tools, training, standards, and guardrails.
  • Own cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, environments, infrastructure as code, release tooling, monitoring, alerting, and internal automation.
  • Improve the developer experience by making it easier for engineers to build, test, deploy, debug, and operate software.
  • Own the data platform foundations, including data infrastructure, ingestion, orchestration, data quality, access controls, cataloging, and governance.
  • Improve reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency across infrastructure, platform services, and data systems.

Requirements

  • Experience leading platform engineering teams that own shared platform capabilities, infrastructure, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
  • Experience driving adoption of agentic development practices across engineering teams, with demonstrated improvements in developer productivity, delivery speed, and software quality.
  • Strong technical depth across AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, service architecture, observability, infrastructure as code, and modern software delivery.
  • Strong execution skills, including planning, prioritization, stakeholder management, and follow-through.
  • Ability to influence teams through clear communication, strong technical judgment, and practical enablement.
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and developing senior engineers and technical leads.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience directly managing engineers as their formal people manager.
  • Built or led platform capabilities for deploying AI agents, such as agent orchestration frameworks, tool integration, context management, evaluations, and guardrails?

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery.
  • Experience with data platforms and analytics.
