CableCom LLC is in search of a talented Sr Operations Manager to support our business unit focused on cable and fiber optic construction projects in the Benicio, California area. The ideal candidate is a high-energy, hands-on manager with a passion for developing and mentoring others.
About the role
Works under the direction of a multi-state Area Manager to manage construction operations, ensuring projects are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. Responsibilities include overseeing safety, productivity, financial performance (P&L), and employee development.
Responsibilities
- General management of construction operations.
- Ensure all construction operations comply with customer and industry specifications, including safety and productivity standards.
- Manage project volume and finances (P&L).
- Coach and develop employees, leadership, construction practices, and safety culture.
- Build business relationships, service client needs, and foster partnerships with CableCom clients.
- Ensure daily production of employees and subcontractors meets company expectations.
- Audit construction operations for compliance with project specifications and safe work practices.
- Resolve escalated complaints with customers, external entities, and employees.
- Review daily production reports, material usage sheets, and timekeeping records.
- Analyze Plan of Record (POR) to measure success via employees, customer satisfaction, and financials; build improvement plans.
- Maintain and enforce company, federal, and state rules and regulations, including non-discriminatory practices, payroll, and overtime guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience leading a structured organization of 100+ employees.
- Previous P&L responsibility for a business with revenue in excess of $5M.
- 7 years of construction management experience, preferably in utilities.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and professional email.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
