Sr. Manager Mechanical Engineering

About the role

Primary responsibility is Mechanical Engineering management of the Sabre 3D Platform, a product with a long history of success in the marketplace. The manager will directly supervise a team of Mechanical Engineers engaged in product development, design changes tied to customer requests (NSRs), field escalations, and engineering product support, collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers, process engineering, GPS, and the field.

The Sabre 3D product is rapidly growing, requiring the manager to handle significant hiring and onboarding while motivating and guiding the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers in product development and design changes.
• Address customer requests (NSRs) and field escalations.
• Provide engineering product support in collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, process engineering, GPS, and field teams.
• Motivate and guide the team while collaborating with internal and external groups.
• Oversee hiring and onboarding for a rapidly growing product team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6-8 years of direct supervisory experience; significant experience leading teams without a direct supervisory role may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7 years of experience managing a Mechanical Engineering team responsible for semiconductor equipment development and support.
• Engineering knowledge and experience with WETS products.

Schedule

Hybrid roles combine on-site collaboration with remote flexibility:

• On-site Flex: Work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with remote work for the balance of the week.
• Virtual Flex: Work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
