Sr. Manager, Information Security
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, Information Security to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This remote leadership role will oversee information security operations with a strong focus on incident response, security monitoring, and program effectiveness. The ideal candidate will translate strategic security objectives into executable initiatives while strengthening governance, risk, and compliance practices across the organization. This position will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to improve detection, response, resilience, and security awareness in support of the broader mission.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Information Security Analysts in monitoring and responding to security incidents
- Actively participate in incident response activities for rapid containment and resolution
- Drive improvements in detection and response processes and operational effectiveness
- Translate strategic security objectives into actionable initiatives
- Oversee the operationalization of information security policies and frameworks
- Develop and maintain security metrics to measure program effectiveness
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their technical and professional skills
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in Information Security with leadership across multiple disciplines
- Proven track record in Security Incident Response and Security Operations/SOC leadership
- Experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
- Hands-on experience with audits and security questionnaires
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, and CISM
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Compensation
$133,600 – $200,400 annually
