About the role
Stepan is seeking a Sr. Manager - Global Demand Planning to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will report to the Director of Supply Chain Planning – North America. The Sr. Manager - Global Demand Planning will be responsible for developing Global Demand Planning Policies and executing the North American Demand Planning S&OP Process by collecting qualitative and quantitative demand data, validating through S&OP, and uploading to the active MRP system.
Responsibilities
- Execute the Demand Planning S&OP Cycle in North America
- Build a 13-month forecast based on qualitative inputs from Sales and quantitative analysis
- Develop consensus forecast with Sales and Commercial Leadership
- Publish forecast into MRP system for use in Supply Planning S&OP
- Develop and maintain Demand Planning policies with Global Teams
- Manage the North American Demand Planning Team including supervision, training, and mentoring
- Develop and report KPI metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, MAPE, and Bias
- Partner with Sales and Commercial on financial projects and product launches into the Supply Chain
Requirements
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in supply chain or business/industry, specifically within one or more supply chain functions including demand planning, production planning, S&OP, inventory management, or operations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or projects to implement new processes or capabilities within complex contexts including multi-regional
- Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading change initiatives
- Strong analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills
- SAP/ERP System and Microsoft Power BI experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, supply chain management, engineering, mathematics, business, or similar field required
- Preferred Certifications: APICS / ASCM (CPIM or CSCP), IBF (Certified Forecasting Analyst)
Pay
Pay Range: $123,000 - $166,000
