Sr Manager Controllership

About the Role
As an integral part of the Global Revenue Assurance team, the Sr Manager provides leadership, development, and application of consistent revenue recognition rules, policies, and assists in documenting accounting guidance for DXC's revenue-generating activities on a global basis with specific reference to US GAAP. You will ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding contracts, systems, flow of transactions, internal controls, and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DXC Policy & US GAAP, ASC 606, and 842.
- Review customer arrangements to determine proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.
- Partner with company stakeholders, including Pricing, Finance, and Contracts/Legal teams to assist internally in the structuring of contracts to support revenue recognition objectives.
- Review and approve revenue treatment documentation of team members, as well as helping to document revenue treatment for larger, more complex transactions.
- Work with controllership and auditors on acceptance of the revenue dispositions.
- Provide revenue recognition training to all stakeholders.
- Provide strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects to the company in the area of revenue assurance.
- Support existing deals with Revenue Recognition queries.
- Provide coaching to increase revenue recognition awareness.
- Mentor/coach and develop new joiners.
Requirements
- Degree with a focus in business or accounting; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred).
- 7-10 years of finance experience, with a focus in revenue recognition (ASC 606).
- Experience with lease accounting ASC 842 is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Work Environment
If you live within 40 km (25 miles) of a DXC office, you are expected to work onsite at least two days per week. Hiring anywhere within the US - Preferred location Eastern or Central.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $119,900 - $222,700.
