About the role

You will own accounting at Parallel end to end, from month-end close and financial reporting to technical accounting, audits, tax, and statutory compliance. You'll manage multi-entity accounting as Parallel scales internationally, own our relationships with external accounting, tax, and audit partners, and drive the systems and future ERP decisions that support a fast-growing business. You'll partner closely with revenue leadership and the finance lead on quote-to-cash improvements and billing operations, and you'll build the processes and infrastructure that let the accounting function scale without breaking.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and financial reporting
• Handle technical accounting, audits, tax, and statutory compliance
• Manage multi-entity accounting for international scaling
• Oversee relationships with external accounting, tax, and audit partners
• Drive systems and ERP decisions for a fast-growing business
• Partner with revenue leadership on quote-to-cash improvements and billing operations
• Build scalable accounting processes and infrastructure

Requirements

• 8+ years of accounting experience at a high-growth technology company
• Track record of increasing ownership of the accounting function
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, technical accounting, and SaaS revenue recognition
• Experience with multi-entity and international operations, transfer pricing, and inter-company accounting
• Understanding of billing systems and revenue operations to partner with commercial teams
• Ability to design systems, not just operate them
• Attention to detail while managing broader scope

Nice to have

• Experience leading an ERP migration
• Ability to write SQL for data analysis

Pay

Compensation range: $175,000 - $225,000
