Sr. Mainframe Software Engineer

About the Role

The Ash Group is hiring a Sr. Mainframe Software Engineer for our client, a global technology powerhouse supplying semiconductor and infrastructure software products for the world's leading networks. This is a fulltime position working in Plano, TX or San Jose, CA (Onsite). Relocation assistance will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop: Create high-quality software design and architecture for applications on the mainframe platform.
• Build and implement: Produce, test, and debug functional software solutions, leveraging your Mainframe expertise to modernize our enterprise software.
• Collaborate: Partner with product management and fellow software engineers in an Agile environment to define software requirements and deliver solutions.
• Automate: Increase efficiency by automating tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Drive innovation: Contribute to a fast-paced environment with a passion for continuous improvement and technology innovation.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of recent IBM Assembler Language (HLASM) experience is a must.
• System-level or application-level experience
• Strong Mainframe development experience
• Must have z/OS experience
• Experience with source control systems such as Endevor / ISPW is required
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
