Sr. Machine Learning Engineer (Data Science)

For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. This role leads work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action, strengthening data-driven execution in a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy forecasting models using GCP-native services
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on large datasets
• Build AI agents for forecasting workflows with embedded decision-making capabilities
• Develop and maintain production ML pipelines for model training and deployment
• Implement statistical experimentation frameworks to validate model improvements
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design feature stores in BigQuery
• Optimize model performance through various advanced techniques
• Integrate ML model outputs into workflows for autonomous quotation generation
• Document model architectures and present findings to stakeholders

Qualifications

• 6+ years in machine learning engineering and data science with a strong portfolio
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) and a deep learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow)
• Hands-on experience with GCP ML stack including Vertex AI and BigQuery
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and time-series analysis
• Experience with AI agent frameworks like LangChain or Vertex AI Agents
• Proficient in SQL for analytical queries on large-scale data
• Experience with experiment tracking and model management tools

Pay

$120,000 – $150,000 annually
