About the role

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will work with a high-impact team to advance ads recommendation algorithms, focusing on user behavior modeling. The role involves understanding Unity's ads business, driving foundational research, and collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Unity ads business, including product offering, advertisers goals, ads serving funnel, and rich real-time and dynamic user interaction data.
  • Drive foundational research for new models and paradigms.
  • Leverage rich user data and large-scale compute to validate models rapidly.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to productionalize research.

Requirements

  • Expertise: Hands-on experience applying state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models to complex real-world problems, specifically in the domains of user behavior modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python, Pytorch and deep learning frameworks.
  • Data & Analytics: Solid understanding of metric design, large-scale data analysis, and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Strategic Impact: Proven ability to drive projects end-to-end, solving critical cross-team problems and delivering measurable business results.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in machine learning and/or deep learning.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and machine learning frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Skills

  • Python programming.
  • Experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks.
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their applications.
  • Experience with distributed computing and cloud platforms.
