We're looking for a Senior Life Safety Systems (LSS) Designer to help shape advanced facilities where technology and safety go hand in hand. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and drafting of life safety and security systems for advanced facilities
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create and coordinate 3D BIM models with architects and engineers
- Assist in developing layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security/Intrusion Detection Systems
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements, delivering accurate, constructible solutions
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 10 years of Drafting/design experience
- Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV
- NICET Level II certification
- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
- Visa Sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Skills
- 3-5 years of Revit design experience
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
- Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer's equipment
- Industrial design experience
- NICET Level III certification (or the ability to obtain this certification within one year of hire)
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,600.00 to $121,880.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
