Sr. License Practical Nurse

About the role

The Sr. License Practical Nurse provides technical nursing care to child through adult populations. Performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines. Provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Provides direct care to patients within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure on all patients and documents immediately in the EMR.
• Administers medications and parenteral therapy in accordance with established UBHC guidelines.
• Performs venipuncture as required.
• Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
• Follows National Patient Safety Goals in proper identification of patient before collecting specimens.
• Performs treatments and procedures within established guidelines.

Requirements

Possession of a valid and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New Jersey and three (3) years of relevant
