About the role

Be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products. As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will contribute to a strategic top-priority initiative called Client 360, specifically working on building a Commercial & Investment Bank-wide Marketing and Events Data Platform. This role involves implementing new platforms and enhancing existing ones for large-scale data processing on both internal and public cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Transform existing ETL logic on AWS Platform or Databricks
  • Innovate new ways of managing, transforming, and validating data
  • Implement new or enhance existing services/scripts
  • Establish and enforce guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and completeness of data assets
  • Apply quality assurance best practices to all work products
  • Analyze, design, and code business-related solutions, as well as core architectural changes, using an Agile programming approach to deliver software on time and within budget
  • Work within development teams using Agile techniques, Object-Oriented development, and scripting languages
  • Learn and apply cutting-edge technologies and applications to greenfield projects

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • 3+ years of experience with Python
  • 2+ years of experience in Java Development
  • 2+ years of experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., AWS, Spark, Kafka, Databricks)
  • Experience implementing complex ETL transformations on big data platforms
  • Strong experience with UNIX shell scripting to automate file preparation and database loads
  • Experience in data quality testing; adept at writing test cases and scripts, presenting, and resolving data issues
  • Familiarity with relational database environments (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), leveraging databases, tables/views, stored procedures, and agent jobs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong development discipline and adherence to best practices and standards
  • Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
  • Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at the code level
