Key Skills Required
- Expertise in designing data-driven solutions on Snowflake for complex business needs.
- Experience in Investment Management or Asset Management.
- Expert-level understanding of relational and dimensional database concepts, database architecture and design, ontology, and taxonomy design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or Finance or equivalent experience.
- Intellectual curiosity, inclination for independent and self-directed work, and attention to detail.
- Professional experience driving change, transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of data security, cyber-security, and PII management.
- Advanced data analytics using ML, AI, and GenAI.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with all stakeholders, focusing on setting expectations and maintaining client satisfaction through effective project management and customer service.
- Evangelize data strategy, working through design, documentation, review, and cross-team negotiations to support strategic business and technology goals.
- Display thought leadership in pursuing modern architecture principles and technology.
- Lead technology proof-of-concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions.
- Provide architecture direction for engineers in support of a technical pattern.
- Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
- Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture.
- Analyze key industry and technology trends to assess potential impacts on the enterprise.
- Contribute to defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with IT initiatives.
- Participate in a fast-paced Agile team, contributing to planning, documentation, execution, testing, and launch of projects.
- Interface with global teams to collaborate on business deliveries.
- Strong grasp of value creation and business capability models for large-scale technology platforms.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $114,500 - $194,700 USD. Northern Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. A discretionary bonus program with an equity component may also be offered.
