Sr. IT Technician
About the role
The Senior IT Technician is a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting Windows-based workstations, servers and related software, and networks, while ensuring corporate security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained. They act as the escalation point for Tier-1 and Tier-2 issues, and mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Complex Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues with workstations, printers, and network equipment.
- Imaging and Deployment: Test and deploy system images and software packages using Microsoft SCCM.
- Security & Patching: Update security software, test and deploy monthly Microsoft patches, and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Process Improvement: Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and the knowledge base.
- Asset Management: Manage IT inventory, including procurement, deployment, and disposal of hardware.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience: 5+ Years in a technical support role.
- Skills: Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server; Tools: Experience with SCCM, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Intune, ITSM ticketing systems and remote support tools; Hardware: Expertise in troubleshooting desktop, laptop and server hardware components; Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation (Exposure to Ansible, Python, or similar is a plus); Networking: In-depth understanding of networking protocols (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and cybersecurity fundamentals; Soft skills: Strong communication skills to interact with users and leadership, alongside analytical, problem-solving skills; Travel: Some domestic travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 35-40 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting, and perform tasks requiring bending or crouching.

Pay
The hourly range for this role is $24.39-$36.58 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
Schedule
M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 PM. May require flexible hours on evenings or weekends.
