Sr. IT Auditor
About the role
The Senior IT Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and security of Cathay Bank's IT and IS operations. Reporting to IT Audit management, this position involves planning, executing, and reporting on audits across various IT processes.
Responsibilities
- Owning the execution of assigned key audit process areas, including planning, testing, reporting, and remediation testing activities.
- Assisting in project planning and providing recommendations for internal control improvements.
- Preparing audit reports and conducting remediation testing activities.
- Managing the budget and deadlines for assigned audits, and providing timely updates to management.
- Partnering with process owners to promote continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Staying updated on emerging IT/IS risks and participating in special projects or investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of IT/IS audit-related work experience, preferably in a Bank or Financial Services industry.
- Familiarity with IP networks infrastructure, Windows Active Directory, databases, mobile technologies, cloud computing, and relevant frameworks.
- Knowledge of IT operating systems and strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or relevant professional certifications are highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Experience in IT, IS, IT application controls, business process control reviews, systems development/project reviews, and IT general computer controls.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Skills
- Knowledge of risk assessment, audit methodology, and IT audit execution.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Understanding of the financial industry and related markets, regulatory bodies, and industry events.

Pay
$70K – $110K / year, with pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
