Sr. Inventory Control Analyst

About the Role

The Sr. Inventory Control Analyst works closely with Materials Management, Purchasing, Operations, and Accounting groups to maintain inventory accuracy, ensure the integrity of inventory, and manage SAP material transactions for raw materials (RM), work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods throughout the entire process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate processes and recommend changes to improve inventory accuracy.
• Oversee, train, and collaborate with all SAP users across shifts responsible for SAP inventory transactions.
• Coordinate and set the monthly cycle count schedule for all inventory areas and report accuracy to the direct supervisor.
• Lead and coordinate month-end physical inventory count teams and report results.
• Support month-end close for the accounting department (last day of the month plus two business days).
• Provide input on the Inventory Aging report (raw materials and finished goods) regarding on-hand and future demand for excess and obsolete inventory, with support from Purchasing and the Accounting Controller.
• Adjust system quantities and audit strength element and fiber inventories.
• Investigate root causes of inventory errors and perform lessons learned from root cause analysis.
• Analyze and correct inventory discrepancies for suspect locations and/or materials with approval from supervisors or the Accounting Controller.
• Assist with inventory accuracy reporting, suggest changes to inventory location management, and oversee inventory consolidation projects.
• Audit inventory moves and material transactions, and support SAP users (all shifts) in resolving inventory-related issues.
• Provide training for inventory location management and scanners.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Coordinate requests for inventory status changes, item number changes, and pallet configurations.
• Monitor, evaluate, and perform necessary inventory corrections to maintain accuracy between the SAP ZSATS ATS report and SAP-010 finished goods storage locations, working closely with the Quality Department and Production Control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Warehouse and receiving experience required.
• SAP experience in the Materials Management modules.
