For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer to lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. This role involves collaborating across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture and execution quality in a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Independently plan and architect complex infrastructure designs
- Own technology lifecycle management and capacity planning
- Define performance standards for hardware and software to ensure operational excellence
- Act as a subject matter expert on emerging technologies and vendor partnerships
- Execute detailed infrastructure designs for large-scale initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders
- Provide expert guidance during complex production incidents for rapid resolution
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers with technical direction and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure engineering
- 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree in the related field
- Familiarity with Tomcat, Spring Boot, & WebSphere Application Server (required)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to adapt in complex situations

Pay
$107,901 – $172,642 annually
