Sr Infrastructure Cloud Security Engineer - AWS - Remote

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Infrastructure Cloud Security Engineer - AWS - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will focus on strengthening cloud and infrastructure security across AWS environments in support of a business operating in a highly regulated, operationally complex industry. The successful candidate will partner closely with infrastructure, engineering, and security stakeholders to define scalable controls, reduce risk, and improve security automation. This position will be responsible for translating security requirements into practical technical guardrails that support secure delivery and incident readiness.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS security controls across IAM and VPC
• Apply least-privilege access and encryption standards
• Partner with cross-functional teams to secure cloud infrastructure
• Define security baselines and reusable guardrails
• Build security controls through Infrastructure-as-Code
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines
• Investigate incidents and improve response capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years in an AVP role
• 7+ years in cloud security engineering or related roles
• 5+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering roles
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP or CISM preferred
• Significant experience securing AWS environments, including IAM policies and network security
• Experience in Kubernetes and container security

Pay

$135,000 – $180,000 annually
