What You'll Do

  • Support work measurement studies for production equipment, conveyance, and human work to optimize operational efficiency and productivity for the engineering stakeholders.
  • Use data to identify value-adding and non-value-adding tasks in operations and streamline processes by providing line-balancing options and eliminating redundant tasks.
  • Create capacity studies and static sensitivity analyses to identify factors impacting line throughput (OEE, OLE, Headcount, number of material handling equipment) and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create operating plans for all production lines, including labor requirements, breaking strategies, and shift schedules using linear programming, and assess headcount addition/removal requests based on line needs and requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance, to develop and implement optimized solutions.
  • Provide support for high-level decision-making through statistical hypothesis testing, linear programming, Monte Carlo simulations, and simple excel data analysis.
  • Collaborate with the simulation team to provide key input data for 3-D modeling and occasionally develop discrete event simulation models to gain deeper insight into current and future shop characteristics.
  • Conduct options analysis for existing line optimization and new line installations and estimate resource requirements for factory footprint expansion projects.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of excellence in current and prior roles.
  • Experience as part of a project team prioritizing multiple continuous improvement projects.
  • Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically high proficiency with Excel.
  • Distinguishing experiences/skills: 2D/3D CAD, lean manufacturing, work measurement, analytics (SQL, Tableau), discrete event simulation, operations research, lean manufacturing, scale manufacturing experience.
