Sr Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing & Facility Transformation)
Position Summary
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and leading large-scale projects including production line relocations, plant layout redesigns, and facility moves. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver cost savings, productivity gains, and seamless transitions during major operational changes.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using Lean and Six Sigma
Conduct workflow analysis, line balancing, and capacity planning
Implement cost reduction and productivity initiatives
Partner with leadership in the execution of production line moves and facility transitions
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
Cover cross-functional teams
Oversee installation, validation, and ramp-up
Design optimized plant layouts
Improve material flow and space utilization
Support facility planning initiatives
Analyze production data and identify bottlenecks
Develop KPIs and dashboards
Conduct cost-benefit analysis
Partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and EHS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
5+ years of manufacturing experience
Experience with high impact line moves or facility transformations
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
CAD proficiency
Strong project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Six Sigma certification
Automotive or heavy manufacturing experience
ERP/MES system experience
Plant startup or expansion experience
