Sr. Industrial Designer

About the role

This is a fully hands-on role for an experienced industrial designer to join the new hardware design team at True Anomaly Design. The role involves taking hardware from concept to production, working closely with engineers, and producing detailed designs.

Responsibilities

• Help build the company’s product line by designing hardware from concept to production
• Work through real hardware engineering challenges such as packaging, thermal, structural, and harness routing
• Create prototypes and renderings to show executives, customers, and manufacturing partners
• Bring impeccable design and artistic vision to everything we do, ensuring the company stands out

Qualifications

• Show an amazing portfolio of hardware design, including sketches and practical manufacturing knowledge
• Have strong surfacing and CAD skills in whatever tools you’re fastest in, and be comfortable working from and back into engineering CAD
• Have practical manufacturing knowledge in areas like machining, sheet metal, additive, molding, coatings and finishes
• Have consumer, automotive, aerospace, robotics, medical, and industrial equipment backgrounds, and have an active security clearance as a bonus
