Sr. I&E Technician - Charleston SC

Burrow Global is seeking an experienced Sr. Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician for a three‑month on‑site project in Charleston, South Carolina. The role is immediate; the selected candidate must be able to mobilize and begin work as soon as possible.

Scope of Work

• Provide hands‑on I&E maintenance and troubleshooting support in an operating terminal environment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, calibrate, and replace industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Work with transmitters, switches, control valves, analyzers, and other field instrumentation equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of motors, motor controls, starters, VFDs, panels, and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation.
• Conduct instrument calibration, loop checks, functional testing, and troubleshooting of control/instrumentation circuits.
• Diagnose equipment failures and execute corrective and preventive maintenance.

Candidate Requirements

• Journeyman‑level I&E experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or terminal environment.
• Working knowledge of NEC, electrical safe‑work practices, and classified‑area installations.
• Training in permits, LOTO, confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection, and PPE/FRC requirements.
• TWIC card required, or ability to obtain one prior to start.
• Ability to work outdoors, climb tanks/structures, operate lifts, and carry tools.
• Must pass client site orientation, background check, and drug screen requirements.
