About the role

We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to partner with leaders across Prime Video Experience Technology (PVXT), a high-impact, innovation-driven technology organization. The HR leader in this role will work closely with senior Tech leaders to shape and execute people strategies that directly enable the org's ambitious vision to be the most streamed video product in the world.

PVXT is on a mission to build and operate the most innovative video streaming technology in the world, setting new benchmarks in quality, performance, and reliability. The teams within PVXT deliver customer-centric streaming experiences for Video on Demand and Live content across all devices, supporting subscription, transactional, and ad-supported business models. They invent technologies spanning encoding, video players, global app experiences, live playback, ultra-low latency streaming, resilience engineering, and video delivery at massive scale.

Responsibilities

  • Improve organizational effectiveness and design, lead change management, and drive HR functional excellence.
  • Demonstrate genuine curiosity and interpret business goals across complex, diverse technology teams to recommend new approaches to talent acquisition, development, retention, and recognition.
  • Take a hands-on approach to deeply understand employees, technology, and customers by engaging at the "frontline."
  • Solve problems creatively by working backwards from the end customer and business client, using data to drive people initiatives that lead to measurable business impact.
  • Coach and mentor leaders at all levels to maximize their effectiveness and build high-performing, inclusive teams.
  • Drive organizational health and efficiency, including workforce planning, org design, talent placement, and succession planning across a globally distributed tech organization.
  • Innovate and improve Tech talent processes, including promotion, calibration, and talent review mechanisms.
  • Build and retain a diverse, world-class Tech workforce at all levels, from individual contributors to senior engineering leaders.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while moving initiatives forward with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude.
  • Create meaningful, trust-based client relationships and interface effectively at executive levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of human resources experience.
  • Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing complex projects and/or programs within a matrix environment.
  • Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering, modeling, problem-solving, and communicating recommendations.
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments in a fast-paced, high-tech environment while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience troubleshooting and managing network-related challenges.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization (technical, business, executive).
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to bring insight into the team and business.
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $175,900.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
