Sr. Hospital Systems Administrator
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hospital Systems Administrator to support and enhance healthcare imaging technologies, including PACS, RIS, and related clinical systems.
Responsibilities
- Cook up infrastructure installation/upgrade/support activities between Mckesson, infrastructure personnel, and systems analysts.
- Operate as a liaison between the SPUH infrastructure team, Clinical/Business IT teams, and Mckesson support to ensure that infrastructure/Paragon related patches, updates, environment changes, and upgrades are properly prepared for and communicated to Clinical/Business IT teams.
- Monitor clinical system backups, and ensure that all Paragon/infrastructure monitoring technologies are functional and enhanced as needed.
- Perform systems administration and management activities for the assigned system i.e., day-to-day maintenance, system patches, performance monitoring, and assure that backup and archival procedures are executed per guidelines.
- Support applications throughout the hospital in terms of product evaluation, hardware/software resource requirements, installation, and ongoing support.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Certification from a certified computer school
- Minimum of five (5) years of systems administration experience
- Capability to prioritize and organize heavy workflow
- Equipment operated: Windows Servers, Network Appliances, Computers, PDAs
- Proficient with Microsoft Products, commands and utilities
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with PACS, Cardiology, and imaging workflows and related technology software/infrastructure
- Healthcare IT experience supporting clinical applications
- Hands-on experience with server installations, upgrades, and ongoing support
- Experience working with vendors, clinicians, and IT teams
- Knowledge of healthcare security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Pay
Salary Range: 85,467.00 - 141,066.00 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
