Role Summary
The Senior Home Loan Processor is responsible for various tasks including reviewing loan applications, gathering necessary documents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and secondary market guidelines.
What You Will Be Doing
- Review loan applications for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
- Order appraisals, title commitments, tax transcripts, income verifications, and other required documents.
- Communicate and collaborate with borrowers, loan officers, realtors, vendors, and operations staff to facilitate a smooth closing process.
- Evaluate appraisals, title policies, credit reports, and income verifications.
- Examine supporting documentation and investigate any inconsistencies to identify potential fraud or misrepresentation.
- Ensure re-disclosures are prepared and delivered to the member within regulatory guidelines based on identified changes.
- Prepare and deliver documents in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Carefully coordinate loan closing, recording, and funding with escrow.
- Review signed closing documents for accuracy, proper execution, and completeness.
- Perform post-closing responsibilities, including packaging and shipping investor loans.
- Prioritize and monitor daily workload to meet company timeline expectations and lock expirations.
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and commitment.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude, displaying mutual respect, trust, and dignity.
- Lead by example, always displaying solid ethics and integrity.
- Maintain and protect all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Willingly perform other job-related projects and duties as assigned, self-initiating assistance and requesting assistance from team members when appropriate.
About You

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent completion of specialized course of study, training, and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of mortgage processing experience required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience processing Correspondent, FHA, and VA loans required.
- Proficient in calculating income for all income types including self-employment.
- Proven success maintaining monthly pipeline goals.
- Qualified in clearing final conditions on designated loans.
- Expert experience with Automated Underwriting System (AUS), loan origination software, and navigating vendor partner platforms.
- Proficient with standard Microsoft Office Suite.
- Some travel is required to achieve training and business objectives.
