Responsibilities

• Own the north‑south fabric that connects the AI cloud to the world and drive automation that turns EVPN/BGP operations from tickets into policy.
• Design, deploy, and maintain EVPN‑VxLAN data‑center fabrics for multi‑tenant network isolation and workload mobility.
• Implement multi‑site DCI overlay/underlay connecting four US data centers with consistent L2/L3 services.
• Manage BGP (eBGP/iBGP), OSPF, ECMP load balancing, and VxLAN across spine‑leaf architectures.
• Handle IP transit, peering relationships, and internet‑edge infrastructure.
• Maintain WAN/IP backbone connecting US data centers to APAC and Iceland sites.
• Configure and operate network equipment from Arista, Cisco, and Palo Alto (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Automate network provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, and Nautobot/NetBox for IPAM/DCIM.
• Monitor network health, capacity, and SLA across all sites.
• Produce network architecture documentation, standard configurations, and change procedures.
• Integrate every route policy, ACL, VRF, and peering session as code in the platform’s config‑management substrate.
• Feed BGP flap and DCI degradation events into a network‑stability predictor.
• Convert routine changes into workflows executable by remediation actuators within maintenance windows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data‑center network engineering experience with hands‑on EVPN‑VxLAN deployment.
• Strong BGP expertise (eBGP/iBGP, route policies, communities, traffic engineering).
• Experience designing and operating multi‑site DCI with EVPN multi‑homing.
• Proficiency with Arista EOS and/or Cisco NX‑OS in spine‑leaf data‑center environments.
• Experience with firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet) for perimeter and inter‑tenant security.
• Hands‑on experience with IP transit provisioning and internet peering.
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python/Netmiko, Nautobot/NetBox).
• Strong understanding of QoS, traffic engineering, and capacity planning for data‑center networks.
• AIOps aptitude – demonstrated ability to move from ticket‑driven ops to intent‑driven policy, or a clear thesis on how to do so.
• Runbook‑as‑code mindset – configurations, changes, and rollbacks executable by an agent.
