Sr. Governance, Risk, and Compliance Specialist (Remote)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Governance, Risk, and Compliance Specialist to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will drive governance, risk, and compliance operations in a remote environment, with a strong focus on strengthening audit readiness, process discipline, and cross-functional control execution. The specialist will help improve how information moves between systems, identify automation opportunities, and support more efficient compliance workflows. This is a hands-on position that partners with internal stakeholders to enhance governance processes and support reliable, scalable compliance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external compliance audits and assessments
• Develop integrations to facilitate information communication between systems
• Identify and implement automation solutions to enhance audit processes
• Analyze current governance processes and recommend improvements
• Perform additional duties related to governance, risk, and compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in compliance-related roles
• Familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001
• Proficient in scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell
• Experience with workflow automation tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to use AI technology to improve workflows and decision-making
