Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring on-time delivery of key milestones and deadlines
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across internal Amazon organizations to align priorities, remove blockers, and deliver results
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, coordinating deliverables and holding stakeholders accountable to timelines
  • Define project scope, success criteria, and resource requirements in partnership with senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reporting, and risk mitigation strategies across concurrent initiatives
  • Leverage AI tools to manage and track projects to completion
  • Facilitate regular cadences with cross-org stakeholders to track progress, escalate risks, and drive decisions
  • Operate as the single-threaded owner for complex, ambiguous programs spanning multiple teams and organizations
  • Organize scoping of Global trade compliance requirements and manage communication and implementation of requirements with partner teams
  • Maintain Amazon Leo's customs compliance work instructions and SOPs, manage document revisions and support the continuous process improvement of Leo's customs compliance program
  • Provide compliance training to new employees and cross-functional teams and keep training records
  • Analyze and interpret import regulations and keep abreast of changes

About The Team

The Sr. Global Trade Operations Project Manager has the primary responsibility of project managing long term trade initiatives. Reporting to the Governance and Brokerage Strategy Manager, this role will promote the sustainability and longevity of Leo’s customs compliance program by driving cross-functional alignment and owning end-to-end delivery of initiatives by coordinating teams, managing timelines, and removing blockers to ensure projects meet their goals on time.

As a critical member of our Global Trade & Compliance Team, this role interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, customs brokers, government officers, and other functional areas to ensure projects meet critical deadlines.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program management, project management or product management experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software
  • Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
  • 5+ years of experience in international trade compliance
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • CMP, PMP, or similar certification
  • Knowledge of PGA's Regulations in the Aerospace industry is considered a plus
  • Experience working in start-up mode building or supporting the compliance program from the ground up
  • A curious self-starter with a proven track record of diving into unknown territory, learning new concepts, and pushing your comfort zone

Pay

USA, WA, Bellevue - $119,300.00 - $208,900.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
