Overview

Esri’s Professional Services division is seeking an experienced Sr. Software Development Engineer to help advance the next generation of geospatial data quality capabilities across the ArcGIS platform. In this role, you will design and develop the software used by a large community of GIS professionals to power the operations of their organizations.

In this position, you will design and develop software used by organizations across diverse markets and industries to ensure quality and consistency in their geospatial data holdings. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate engineers who deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world.

As part of the Professional Services division, you will work closely with product teams, domain experts, and technical specialists to create robust, production-ready software that transforms and advances geospatial data quality. Responsibilities

Requirements

Experience designing and developing software used by organizations across diverse markets and industries to ensure quality and consistency in their geospatial data holdings.

Strong understanding of geospatial technologies, AI-driven data quality management, and building scalable, high-performance distributed solutions.

Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development, preferably in geospatial technologies and data quality management.

Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and containerization technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#.

Experience with SQL databases and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

Knowledge of geospatial technologies such as ArcGIS API for JavaScript, ArcGIS REST APIs, and geospatial data formats like GeoJSON, KML, and Shapefiles.

Experience with machine learning and data analytics tools and frameworks.

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
