Sr Gen AI Engineer
About the role
This position provides IT engineering for the rapid, scalable, and compliant delivery of enterprise software applications and foundational workflows. The hallmark of our team is our ability to build next-generation applications by leveraging agentic AI development tooling like Claude Code to execute against three core pillars: modernizing our legacy portfolio capabilities; informing SaaS "make vs. buy" decisions at scale by rapidly prototyping bespoke solutions; and driving enterprise upskilling by establishing blueprint patterns for AI-assisted application development. These efforts allow for significant operational efficiency and consumption-focused innovation across GE Aerospace, as well as provide for improved, cutting-edge software services to our global workforce and customers. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design sound/supportable technical solutions for net-new software applications built from the ground up utilizing Claude Code and agentic workflows
- Evaluate legacy systems to determine capabilities and requirements necessary to build high-performance, operationally stable replacement applications using generative development tools
- Code complex, integrated, and modular applications by actively directing and pair-programming with Claude Code and related agentic software development frameworks
