Sr. Functional Tester

Job Summary

• Verify quality of requirements, test design, test scripts, test data, automation, and test environment configurations.
• Cookordination test planning and strategy with product owners, QA leads, and project managers.
• Develop and provide UAT training to project team members and stakeholders.
• Interact with test tool vendors to optimize testing tools for the project.
• Stay updated on latest testing approaches, tools, and share knowledge with the team.
• Review and validate tester results and defect reports.
• Attend and facilitate testing meetings with project stakeholders.
• Generate summary reports and communicate defect metrics as needed.
• Participate in defect triage meetings, assign defects, and coordinate resolution with development teams.
• Follow up on defect fixes and retesting estimates with Development Leads and Testers.
• Maintain the Test Traceability Matrix for all test procedures and requirements.
• Manage the intake and closeout process for projects, ensuring stakeholder sign-off and documentation completeness.
• Test API integrations and ensure technical requirements are met.
• Maintain and manage testing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Python, C#, Postman, GitHub.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to attend in-person interviews in New York, NY (local candidates only).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Utility or Energy sector experience is a plus, but not required.
