Sr Full Stack Engineer (React.js / Node.js)

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable full-stack applications that power modern digital experiences. You will be a valued member of the Modern Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, designers, and engineering teams to build high-performing, cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive frontend applications using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, including NestJS, Express, or Fastify.
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement high-quality software solutions.
• Support cloud deployments and infrastructure leveraging AWS services and container orchestration platforms such as ECS, EKS, AWS Fargate, or Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing full-stack applications using React.js and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with backend frameworks such as NestJS, Express, or Fastify.
• Experience building and managing containerized applications using Docker.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies, including AWS ECS, EKS, AWS Fargate, or Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, APIs, and application scalability.

Skills

• Experience working within Modern Digital Engineering environments.
• Knowledge of microservices and distributed system architectures.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization and application security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams and collaborating with global stakeholders.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 to $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
