Sr. Foreman - Bridge Concrete

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Foreman with a background in Bridge Construction for our team at Walbec Group. Located in the Midwest, Walbec Group specializes in high-quality construction materials and professional design, engineering, and construction services.

Responsibilities

• Accurately report materials, equipment, hours, and manage and ensure the safety of the personnel on the crew and the public.
• Coordinate and supervise activities of one or more crews for deck pours and finishing.
• Allot crews to their respective duties and ensure they have the appropriate training and tools for accurate job execution.
• Assess and implement the most efficient methods to complete jobs while maintaining quality standards.
• Order supplies and provide necessary information for the procurement of supplies such as bridge construction finishers, burlap, mobile sandblast units, and water trucks.
• Maintain all bridge concrete pouring equipment and materials.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Tolerance for working in variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments.
• 10+ years of experience within the construction trade and 5+ years of experience in a foreman role.
• Prior leadership experience and the ability to communicate, motivate, and manage time of others.
• Journey level training in a related trade.
• Ability to operate a forklift, RT forklift, and skid loader.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in bridge rehabs, new projects, and overlays is a plus.
